Fire Safety

Did you know? in October 2023 new fire safety regulations were stipulated for all UK Holiday Lets, so we've taken steps to ensure we comply but more importantly to ensure that you and your loved ones are as safe as possible whilst visiting Withens Way. We immediately appointed a professional Fire Safety company to assess the Cottage, and implemented the recommendations on the Risk Assessment within 7 days of receiving the report. Two examples are 1. Emergency back up torches in each bedroom to grab and go in case of Emergency Exit and 2. Thumb turn locks have been fitted on all external doors for easy and swift exit in case of emergency. A full copy of our Fire Risk Assessment is available in the Cottage in our Welcome folder.

Over and above this we have fire blankets, a fire extinguisher plus wired and battery backed Smoke Alarms and Carbon Monoxide detectors.

Withens Way Holiday Cottage has been Awarded the World Travel & Tourism Councils (WTTC) ‘Safe Travels’ accreditation and this consumer mark. This is a global scheme showing we meet international global standards in health and hygiene protocols, designed with the ‘World Health Organisation’ and the ‘Centre's for Disease Control and Prevention’ guidelines.

This is an extension of our ‘Visit England, We’re good to go’ Award, essentially meaning we have continually upheld our Risk Assessments, Policy’s and Procedures to keep all visitors safe.

Here at Withens Way Holiday Cottage we have implemented cleaning and sanitising procedures that our Cottage Keeper and Cleaner has been consulted on and commited to. This, along with industry advice, means we are Visit England approved and "We're Good to Go".
